Transcend 32GB Counterfeit USB Flash Drive Found On eBay – Latest Brand Name To Impacted – JetFlash V30

Transcend now joins Sony and Kingston as brand names to have counterfeit USB Flash Drives sold on eBay. The model reported to SOSFakeFlash was the old JetFlash V30. This drive was only made up to 16GB in size. Transcend, like Kingston uses colour coding.
Sold on eBay by hellopetpet was a 32GB Flash drive.
Notice the colour band is green. The colour coding chart for the JetFlash V30 shows:
So green would be a 4GB usb flash drive and not a 32GB flash drive. The ebayer who performed the testing with H2testw 1.4 reported what size? 4GB!

I bought a 16GB transcend drive from ren-ren-buy but mine had a blue band. I guess it’s real capacity will be 1GB, then. It arrived today so I will test it later and report back about what I find.

Contact paypal / credit card company report ‘as not as described”.
If the drive is a counterfeit (see transcend guide referred to above) report as counterfeit and do not send back (illegal to mail counterfeits)
